Labour History’s Annual Workshop, taking place on Sunday, June 2nd in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. We have an exciting line-up for the day, including:

•Victoria Labour History Walking Tour begins at 10:30am at Swan’s Hotel (506 Pandora Avenue), led by historian Patrick Dunae

•BC Federation of Labour President Jim Sinclair, Vancouver Labour Council President Joey Hartman, and Greater Victoria Teachers Federation President Tara Ehrcke join labour activists and scholars Nicole O’Byrne, William Carroll, and Ingo Schmidt at UVic’s Legacy Art Gallery for an engaging plenary discussion beginning at 1:30pm on the topic "Social Democracy and BC’s Working Class"

•Coffee House/Social begins at 5pm at the Solstice Cafe (529 Pandora Avenue), featuring the launch of David Frank’s new book Provincial Solidarities / Solidarités Provinciales with live music by local labour troubadour Art Farquharson and a special guest (see attached poster / join on Facebook);
To register, email The Registration fee is $20 for those registering in advance, payable the day of the workshop (waived for people who are unwaged or low-income). The fee increases to $25 for same-day registrations. The workshop is sponsored by the Canadian Committee on Labour History, the University of Victoria Social Justice Studies Program, and the Society for Socialist Studies.
